Second nuclear factory of the country. It started in 1974. it has been working since January 1984. Located in Embalse Rio Tercero at 2 km from the hotels. Produces between the 7 and 10 of the energetic demand of the country ( 648kw) .

Embalse doubles the capacity of the Atucha Factory 1 It is the only one who produces cobalt 60 in Latin America. It has all the National production and the rest is exported. It is also used for industrial radiation and for medical use too.

The trip consists in a walk around the central with technical explanation and films. Children under the age of 14 years old may do it by bus without being allowed to enter the plant.
